The Global Entrepreneurship Network is seeking a fast-paced, detail-oriented, outgoing communicator with strong digital skills to join its team. The Community Manager will support the execution of a range of organization programs – strengthening program engagement while helping communicate GEN’s impact and strengthen its brand.

JOB DESCRIPTION + KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Community Manager will play a pivotal role in recruiting, onboarding and managing a range of organizations and individuals across various Global Entrepreneurship Network programs. This position requires a dynamic, people-oriented individual who can foster meaningful engagement and maintain vibrant, collaborative communities aligned with GEN’s mission to empower entrepreneurs. The ideal candidate is passionate about entrepreneurship, adept at building relationships, and skilled in community engagement strategies. The position requires infrequent / occasional international travel.
- New Relationship Recruitment:
Recruit and confirm targeted individuals and organizations to engage in the full range of GEN programs, as decided by senior leadership
- Tailor provided outreach communications and collateral materials as needed to align with target audience objectives
- Frequent one-to-one outreach and communication through direct email, phone calls and virtual meetings
- Broad outreach using digital tools such as organization and individual professional social media channels
- Effectively communicate value proposition of program engagement to target audience
- Formally confirm participation in writing and file confirmation appropriately (e.g. MOU)
- Onboarding + Relationship Management Support:
Directly handle all aspects of the fulfillment process for all confirmed organizations – from digital filing to on-boarding and training to on-going tracking and management of program engagement.
- Handle initial on-boarding following process outlined by senior leadership.
- Hubspot contact record creation and tagging
- GEN website profile creation / updating and tagging
- Ensuring data intake forms are completed
- Share necessary program materials (e.g. guides, toolkits, playbooks, etc.)
- Conduct program training / onboarding session
- Provide support to Program Managers to ensure continued and appropriate program engagement
- Track program engagement by community members
- Review program engagement and reinforce requirements, as needed
- Conduct one-on-one calls with program community members regularly throughout the year
- Support the development and promotion of regular / monthly calls
- Support the development of any materials needed for regular / monthly calls
- Help the Community Manager execute regular / monthly calls
- Manage regular ‘office hours’ for program community members to connect directly, ask questions and solicit advice
- Data Management:
Directly handle day-to-day responsibilities for all data management needs for the organization.
- Ensure proper tagging of contacts in Hubspot CRM based on program participation and other engagement
- Ensure updating of Hubspot contact records, as needed, based on reports generated by direct email outreach
- Tagging GEN website user profiles, as needed, based on program participation
- Program-Specific Communications Support:
Provide routine support to the GEN communications team on program-related materials and objectives.
- Extract necessary data, articles, photographs and/or other assets from program community members
- Recruit, copy-edit and publish program-related content on the GEN website
- Using provided templates and/or pre-existing collateral, create visually appealing, brand-enforcing materials for various programs
- Develop and disseminate all program-specific communications outreach
- Regular posting and engaging across core social media channels for program-specific communications
- Ensure brand consistency and professionalism on all external program-specific pieces, including document layout and formatting
- Help monitor and enforce brand discipline among program community members
- Help manage program-related and other content on the GEN website, as needed
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with shifting priorities
- A self-starter attitude, motivated to work independently, collaborate virtually and be assessed based on outputs and KPIs
- Excellent verbal communication and sales skills (to “sell” program engagement)
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent visual presentation skills (e.g. PowerPoint, Canva, document formatting, direct email)
- Data management skills
- Comfortable with web content management systems
- Familiarity with other languages and cultural backgrounds a plus
