Position Overview: The Virtual Learning Assistants (VLA), supports the various virtual events across the College in the delivery of virtual learning activities, study groups and assessments (exams) to ensure the functions and practices of training, assessment and education are delivered in alignment with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine’s broader strategic objectives.
This also includes contributing to a high performing team, supporting staff to deliver member and community objectives and role modelling the behaviours that underpin a high-performance focused culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for participants/presenters to access and use virtual learning tools.
- Ensure all participants/presenters have access to the virtual learning or assessment activity
- Ensure all participants/presenters have functioning audio-visual access
- Assist with any technical issues as they arise
- Record and report technical issues/incidents requiring follow up within 24hrs
- Support candidates with briefing and debriefing sessions
- Introduce presenters/facilitators/examiners
- Manage session timings
- Deliver outstanding customer service to participants/presenters
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using various technology systems/platforms i.e. Zoom, Teams and other Microsoft products and database including SharePoint.
- Fast learner, the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
This is a casual role, with ability to work from a range of locations across Australia. The role requires working outside business hours and weekends.
